The parable of the sower describes 4 types of grounds

Way side

The way side people dont even hear the word of God. You can speak to them the word of God and they just turn off their hearing when you say it to them neither to they remember what you have said. Satan takes away the word.

(Jeremiah 6:10 [KJV]) To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
(John 8:47 [KJV]) He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

(I John 4:5-6 [KJV])
 [5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
 [6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Stony places

(I Corinthians 15:1-4 [KJV])
 [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
 [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
 [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
 [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

These people hear the gospel, become happy but then when tribulation occurs they forget it and go back to their old man. They have believed in vain.

Among thorns

Same thing as stony places in the sense that they dont keep in memory the Gospel.

But also these people their eye is not single. The deceitfulness of riches deceive them. They try to serve two masters.

(Matthew 6:24 [KJV])
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Good ground

These people do keep in memory what Paul has preached unto them (1cor15:1-4). They keep in memory the gospel of your salvation. The gospel is the word of the kingdom. It is the entrance into life.
