Rich man

(Matthew 19:16-26 [KJV])
[16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
[17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
[18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
[19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
[21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
[22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
[23] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[24] And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[25] When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
[26] But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

So its not easy for men to get a rich man saved by preaching the gospel to him [26] but all things are possible for God.

(Proverbs 14:20 [KJV]) The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

The rich man has many friends so we really dont need to look upon him as in need of fellowship or companionship or friendship or as being lonely.

(Proverbs 28:11 [KJV]) The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

The rich man is wise in his own conceit so we shouldn't take his advice or let him lead us.

(Proverbs 18:11 [KJV]) The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.

His conceit is so strong that we cannot get past it.

(James 2:6 [KJV]) But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

We should beware of the rich men because they oppress the believers and even try to get them judged.

(Micah 6:12 [KJV]) For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

Rich men can be bad fruit to have anything to do with.

(Psalms 37:16 [KJV]) A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

We should not envy the rich nor want their riches but rather be happy with the little we have.

(Proverbs 22:16 [KJV]) He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

We should not give to the rich.

How should we deal with the rich man

Try to avoid him and to not have any interactions with him and not give to him.
