What does the bible say about cursing others?
Matthew CHAP. V. Christ beginneth his Sermon in the Mount: 3 declaring who are blessed, 13 who are the salt of the earth, 14 the light of the world, the citie on an hill, 15 the candle: 17 that he came to fulfill the Law: 21 what it is to kill, 27 to commit adulterie, 33 to sweare: 38 Exhorteth to suffer wrong, 44 to loue euen our enemies, 38 and to labour after perfectnesse. 38 ¶ Yee haue heard that it hath beene said, An eie for an eie, and a tooth for a tooth. 39 But I say vnto you, that yee resist not euill: but whosoeuer shall smite thee on thy right cheeke, turne to him the other also.39 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coate, let him haue thy cloake also. 41 And whosoeuer shall compell thee to goe a mile, goe with him twaine. 42 Giue to him that asketh thee: and from him that would borrow of thee, turne not thou away. 43 ¶ Yee haue heard, that it hath beene said, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour, and hate thine enemie: 44 But I say vnto you, Loue your enemies, blesse them that curse you, doe good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully vse you, and persecute you: 45 That yee may be the children of your father which is in heauen: for he maketh his sunne to rise on the euill and on the good, and sendeth raine on the iust, and on the vniust. 46 For if yee loue them which loue you, what reward haue yee? Doe not euen the Publicanes the same? 47 And if yee salute your brethren only, what do you more then others? Doe not euen the Publicanes so? 48 Be yee therefore perfect, euen as your father, which is in heauen, is perfect.
So that is how we sort out things. We depart from them. Church doctrine wont teach this though because for them it would split up the church.
The problem I have seen in church is a mask of friendliness, like a love kill mentality. Basically they are nice and friends outwardly but then some of them at least plot how to destroy you secretly and flatter you and then try to snare you.
(Psalms 62:4 [KJV]) They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
So we shouldnt bless with our mouths and curse inwardly.
(Proverbs 12:22 [KJV]) Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Also if you bless with your mouth in prayer to God the Father regarding your enemies and then feel in your heart that you hate them and want to curse them. Are you then honest to God the Father in heaven. Lying to God the Father is abomination.
We also have Pauls prayer:
(II Timothy 4:14 [KJV]) Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
And we have the promise to Abraham and his seed:
(Genesis 12:3 [KJV]) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
So if someone tries to curse a born again believer in the lord Jesus Christ then God will curse the person that tried to curse the born again believer.
We should still not curse others but we could ask God the Father to curse them for us.
Remember though to not curse people to their face. Rather separate and if they continue to try to do evil to you then ask God to curse them in prayer in your closet when you are alone.
(James 3:10 [KJV]) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
We shouldn't curse others, but we could ask God to curse them.
Instead of asking God to curse someone you could just cast out the unclean spirits from them or do both. Casting out unclean spirits from someone never harms any person. At least not if you do it from a distance without them knowing it.
