CHAP. IX.
1 He sheweth his libertie, 7 and that the minister ought to liue by the Gospel: 15 yet that himselfe hath of his owne accord abstained, 18 to be either chargeable vnto them: 22 or offensiue vnto any, in matters indifferent. 24 Our life is like vnto a race.

[16] For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
[17] For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
[18] What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

EPISTEL DEN FÖRRA TILL DE CORINTHIER 9. CAPITLET

What does 1cor9:17 mean?

We can see from the swedish bible that its about the rules for the teacher in the chapter summary and in the verses that what is meant by "a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me" is that if he doesnt do it willingly he still has to do it because he has been ordered to do it.
